ADHD Without Hyperactivity – My Disability

Published on June 20, 2018

This video is about ADHD Without Hyperactivity – My Disability
** I agree that “Without Hyperactivity” is QUESTIONABLE – so feel free to joke about that here!

This is just my actual diagnosis from 5 years ago.

I think it is important to say here that, everyone who has ADHD is different. In this video, I speak about “coping” – for some that is impossible without major intervention (environmental change, Diet, Exercise, Medical treatment).

In a future Vlog I will get more in to how I reacted to the drugs I was prescribed and why the doctor stopped prescribing them for me.

My great friend Mark mentioned in a comment (the first time I mentioned that I had been diagnosed with ADHD on the vlog) that ADHD “is your superpower.” This year, I am treating it like that. I understand that it is putting me in precarious situations, and that I am messing with people’s schedules, and that that can be perceived as disrespectful.

In this video, I didn’t get to get in to the strategies that I am learning to be able to harness the power of this disability, while also limiting the negative social side effects. I am learning many, and putting them in to effect slowly.

Thank you for sticking with me through this journey.

If you are struggling with this disability or another, please reach out to a loved one and talk about it with them. A professional WILL be able to help.

I love this community, I am sorry this video was late. Creative rabbit trails and all. 😀
